FIRE Hospitality works in a sector that requires staff that can work flexibly – but that suits many people’s lifestyle, according to its new Operations Director Anthony Blee.

Recruitment specialist Anthony said: “Fire Hospitality has the technology to enable our staff to register and sign up for work, creating their own shift patterns to suit their lifestyle.

“But we are very much a people-facing organisation and have experienced supervisors to help the staff and pass on the skills we have all gained in the industry over many years.

“I am really looking for confident, outgoing people who are happy to deal with the general public,” added Anthony, who helped run a 750-strong team working at the 2012 London Olympics.

He said: “It’s a lot harder to teach people to smile, but if we have that, we can pretty much help you learn everything else you need to know to have a successful career in hospitality and events.”

And experience gained in the industry can open doors to full-time careers in the wider catering and leisure industry.

Anthony added: “We can develop staff starting out with us and make them very employable in more permanent positions in the hotel and restaurant industries..

“And we can also help people find work in our new healthcare and food production divisions.

“We pay weekly and our rates of pay are extremely competitive. All we need is a form of biometric identity, such as a passport, and proof of your National Insurance number.

“So if you are studying at college or university in the London area – or will be returning to Greater London from college during the holidays – and want an income to supplement funding your education – Fire can really help.

Anthony is not just setting his sights on teenagers or young people in higher and further education up to their early 20s.

He stressed: “We can equally help people wanting a second job in the evenings and at weekends to help meet the rising cost of living, saving up for a new car, holiday or even a new home.

“We can also help people who are looking for new openings as a result of the effects of the pandemic on their employment prospects.

“The marketplace is currently very much candidate-driven. We have responded to this by offering flexible shifts that fit around other commitments and studying.
